Default Front grille

Hey Everyone-just picked up a 2013 allroad which I absolutely love. Only thing that I don't love is the previous owner spray painted the front grill and skid plate with flat black spray paint. It has started to peel and I want to get it off. I used Goo-Gone with a micro fiber towel on the skid plate and that came off. I am hesitant to use it on the plastic of the grill because of all the lines and intricacies....any remcommendations? I was already looking on eBay and new /used grilles aren't cheap. Thanks in advance!

My guess, it's probably Plastidip. Pretty common to use that for test mods like this as it is removable fairly easily.

Googone should not hurt your paint as it a light citric acid, but WD40 also works. Best thing you can do it get it off and very soon wash that area with Dawn soap to remove any residual oils from the remover you use. Then wax to recoat the paint.
