'17 Allroad brake squeal issue
Brakes squealing for a few weeks now and getting worse. Started after 20k service; pads (>7mm) and rotors still have plenty of life left. Squealing occurs with light to medium pedal pressure when slowing from 40-15mph, regardless of conditions (temp, driving duration, etc). Car has been at the dealership for +2 days now while they try to replicate the issue, which I was able to produce by taking the SA for a test drive during the initiate visit. Apparently they have to validate when they drive it, before inspecting/fixing.
Anyone else have the same issue with their Allroad? Not sure if it's related to the same Q7 issue (https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-.../#post25206758) which appears there is a TSB fix for that model.
Really enjoy the car thus far, but issue is getting progressively worse and would appreciate if other owners are experiencing the same.
Thanks

There's no reason for your car to have "sat" at the dealership for two day trying to reproduce that situation.
They're waiting you out. Tech is probably driving the car 5 miles, saying can't reproduce, and taking it back and letting it sit.
I assume you're in a loaner, or you'd be screaming bloody murder.
If the SA was in the car with you and it was squealing, you really shouldn't be questioned on the issue.
It's not a complicated "fix". Blow-out the calipers, check for uneven wear or "glazing" on the pad surface.
This is standard stuff. Your issue doesn't pay the shop, and it's getting put on the back burner.

Thanks ghostrider.
I took the shop foreman for a test drive and he confirmed the noise. Brakes appear to be in working order but they decided to scuff the rotor to reseat the pads. Foreman said scuffing the rotor was okay per Audi. Dealership would perform this service as a courtesy. Picked up the car and brake noise came back as soon as the first stop light after leaving the dealer lot.
Emailed the Service Manager of the ongoing issue and he say's this is normal. They can only recommend replacing rotors and brakes at a cost of ~$2,500 total but mentioned noise could still come back.
Car has performed great but dishearten by the current issue and hope others can empathize on what is mostly well engineered. Not sure what my other options are at the moment and also thinking about moving on from the Allroad or Audi.
