Audi, just like every other car company in the US has forced fed the masses upcharged SUV after SUV after SUV.

Theyre teasing us with the RS6 Avant as well and if they don’t come through with one in 2020 or 2021 they might simply break America’s heart once and for all.
Audi only offering an A6 and RS6 to compete with Benz E Class and AMG wagons makes a lot of sense. BMW already said they will stop producing the 3-series wagon stateside. I was tempted to sell my allroad if Audi ever offered an RS4 but seeing that they will no longer be available I guess I'll keep my allroad and invest in a 2-door Porsche instead....

I'll believe it when I see it; however, I have heard from the dealership that my order has finally been built included providing a VIN number. Expected delivery of late May to early June. Hopefully this will be the end of the nearly year long saga...

Car and Driver: The Audi RS6 Avant wagon is likely U.S. bound, and Audi's former Quattro division has more in the works.

The car and driver article seems to say these 2020s would go on sale in the US later this year. I wonder if this means we won’t even see the 2019 allroad that is supposedly delayed? Maybe they would just release the 2020s? Hopefully that is still this year if that is the case.

That’s my guess - that the 2019 model year will be skipped altogether in the US. Over on audi’s world media site, they mention the 2020 allroad will be available this summer (in Europe, I assume). Since the allroad we get is still manufactured in Germany, I’ll just guess the b9.0 version is already ending production.
