Audi US changed the name of the car from Allroad to A4 allroad this year for a reason... they were anticipating the arrival of A6 allroad and selling them side by side.

A6 Avant was planned for the US since last year

fwiw, based on my local client pool alone, I bet the A6 outsells the A4 by ~2:1

I have more than a few who wouldn’t get the current gen because it was too small. They wanted a bigger wagon and not an SUV.

Looks to be a beautiful wagon, but how much more will the price be for the AS Avant over the A4 AR? If it's pushing high 60's don't you think that would limit sales?

no pricing as of yet or even build specs

I do expect pricing in the 60's, but no, based on the feedback from older allroad clients who chose to keep their A6 wagon vs going to an A4 Allroad, I think pricing will be right in the sweet spot. It offers a good, roomy alternative to a Q7 or Q8

The market for wagons is tiny in the US

You can really limit sales beyond what current allroads do number wise. You could virtually sneeze and miss it. Akin to a TT. Great car, I enjoy driving them. But I could go months, and months, and months, without a call or email about driving one, buying or, or ordering one. That tends to be the tell all.

My 2017 AR Prestige had a list of ~ 54k IIRC, but got a very nice price off that. So I guess a mid 60's list is about right.

A6 Avant or A6 Allroad? I'm guessing Allroad? Any idea when AoA will be ready to release order guide?

What a lot of people really want is either S4 or S6 Avant but I don't think we'll see those.

Pricing on the A6 sedan is a big jump from the A4, the A6 sedans are configurable into the low-$80k range. Not inconceivable to me that an A6 Allroad would be in the high-$70k range, at least.

but they start at the low $60k range

you'll see on arrival, but it will follow a similar price structure to A4 Allroad model (in relation to price difference vs standard A4)

you will not see a diesel here

Allroad's should be port released sometime next month. Still pending CARB clearance.
