First car I've had without a mechanical parking brake, so maybe the A4 is typical, but why don't they just set the brake to come on automatically when you put the transmission in park and turn it off?

Will it fit in the secret compartment below and left of the steering wheel?

Yes, it will. I would have thought that's the space that it came in?

It came on the seat. I had no idea that secret compartment was there. It fits!

The electronic parking brake is hit or miss. It appears to set about 50% of the time.

I've stopped putting the transmission in park. To turn off the engine I just press the start/stop button. That puts the transmission in P and half the time sets the hand brake - when it doesn't, I set the brake manually.

For my car the parking brake activation is not related to an incline. In my garage it sets sometimes and not others. Same thing in other level locations. Does Audi update the car's software when it is in for service? We are all accustomed to updates for operating systems and apps, so I would think Audi would be doing the same to correct glitches and make improvements. They could even do it over the air as Tesla does if they were really committed to the best technology.

Well, my NAV system was recent.y updated over the air, so it should be possible. But I wouldn't be surprised if they would opt out on that for security/liability reasons. It seems that VAFG's American lawyers are very conservative.

Is the 10k mile oil change complimentary? I thought I read that somewhere. Can it be at any Audi dealer or has to be the point of sale?

Yes, it's complimentary* and may be done at any Audi dealer.

*We all paid for it when we purchased the car.
