Default Cayenne cross shop??

Anyone cross shop the Allroad with either a base or S version of the Cayenne? I've read some comparisons with the Macan but it appears the size and utility of the AR is better - just guessing on that. So curious to hear from those who may have rejected the Macan due to size but still went through a comparison with a larger SUV like the Cayenne. Thanks!

Well, someone may have done it, but they're very different vehicles. The Cayenne, cousin to the Audi Q7and VW Touareg (the basic structure for all three comes from the same factory), is longer, wider, and taller than the Allroad, with more ground clearance. It's an SUV with significant off-road capability. The Allroad is a slightly lifted A4 wagon with modest off-road capability. The Cayenne also costs a lot more than the Allroad. The base Touareg is in the same price bracket as the Allroad, but 2017 is the last year for Touaregs in North America.

I settled on an Allroad because I had to sell my 2012 Touareg back to VW in the dieselgate mess. I really like the Allroad, but I do miss the size, comfort, and torque of the Touareg.

Agree 100%. Two very different vehicles. A "better" comparison would be cross shopping the A4 and A4 Allroad or maybe the Q5,

The closest Audi to an Allroad would be the A4 Avant (which the US doesn't get) and then the Q5. The Q5 and Macan are cousings, while the Ceyenne and Q7 are cousins.
