amazing difference. pulls harder than my b8.5 s4 without a doubt. it actually scared me at first because of how quick it is. and fyi - I am coming from a chipwerke that was reasonably more powerful than stock that I pulled off this morning. good stuff - and warrantied.

I can't find reliable source for info on the warranty situation with doing the APR tune. Is it correct that the APR plus offers a "limited" power train warranty, and you will then lose your factory power train warranty. yes/no?
Is it worth it to lose the factory warranty for a new purchase? To me its something that makes sense on a used vehicle with no warranty or a vehicle that is about to lose its warranty?

Please give me some insight on this. Its all new to me.
Thanks in advance, Hippo

hi, so how it works is as follows: plus (which is the $400 add on warranty) gets only the 91 tune (even though I have 93 in NJ). you will forego your factory powertrain warranty but it is then covered by APR. they do require 5k oil changes vs the factory 10k - but you lose nothing in the end as far as warranty coverage. you still keep the non powertrain warranty portion from the factory. if you call APR they will give you all of the details. at 50K they will allow me to upgrade free of charge from them to the 93 tune - although my installer will probably bill me ~$100,

just as a side note I NEVER used the "D" mode before this tune as I always felt out of the powerband and slower from a start. I used the D mode all day today and the extra torque from the tune absolutely negates the "flat spot" feel on the powerband and now that I use 7th gear I should actually see an increase in fuel economy. I still kill the start-stop however as that simply drives me crazy.

Once you car gets flagged by Audi, which it will be, not only you will lose your warranty but who will you sell your car too? Audi will not touch it or accept it for trade.
Are you going to disclose to the buyer or are you going to screw the next owner?

If you want power why don't you but the appropriate car?

Because Audi doesn't make a more powerful wagon in the US. Shame really.
