Handling is quite bleah...
Is this me or allroad is quite crappy on how it goes down the road? I am not even talking about any kind of active maneuvering, just simple freeway driving. Seems freeway inspired german car with active suspension should handle A LOT better. Am i alone on this?
PS: Brakes are kind "Could be a lot better" category too, no?

Car and Driver did an In Depth Review of the Allroad. Here are their Highs and Lows from the test. It seemed plenty quick (same 0-60 as the A4 sedan @5.2 seconds) and stopping distances were the shortest of the other vehicles mentioned. I'm not an Allroad owner but found the review interesting and very thorough.

Highs
High-tech infotainment system, sports-sedan quick, attractive exterior.
Lows
Not as spacious as competitors, unimpressive fuel economy, interior not as luxe as some competitors
Verdict
All the best parts of an A4, plus more cargo space.

Indeed -- automatic mode assumes that the average driver will be carrying kids or groceries.
It is not that the handling is inferior in automatic, but it just feels soft. It may actually be superior on rough roads because the extra compliance will help the tires stay in contact with the road.

To the OP - as others have suggested, change the OEM tires and you will see a noticeable improvement in handling. In fact, that is my biggest grip with the AR and other cars, the poor choice of OEM tires placed on these cars.

Yeah stock tires on. Conti something.....
Its not like its BAD but it feels like its kinda floating and un-precise. And yes drive mode is set to Dynamic on suspension.
As far as brakes they just FEEL underpowered for such heavy car.
