Default Help with Tire Size for New Allroad

Hey Guys,

Searched through a bunch of threads, but still need some help. I'm a complete noob with tire/rim sizing and fittament.

Picking up my Allroad this week. I'm in Canada and ordered the sport package with the 19" summer rubber. Problem it'll be cold and snowy for the next month at least, and I won't be able to drive it without winter rubber. My existing car has 235/50/18 Blizzak WS80's. Will these fit? (on new rims of course). The OEM tire size is 245/45/18. My tire guys seems to think they will. Anyone have experience?

Probably OK, slightly oversize. Just double check the tire's load rating and speed rating rating.

Thanks!... I will check. I assume they should be ok from a load/speed rating. They are on a 2015 Subaru Legacy 3.6R.

Banana, that I don't know. You'll need to read the tire sidewall. You'll look for the XL or Extra Load rating which most Audis require. You'd want to see a speed rating of H or better.

They are 235 50R 95T .So T speed eating should be fine. Is 95 load rating good enough?

Edit: .noticed that Tirerack recommends both 100 load rating and 96 load rating. 96 is 1565lbs, while 95 is 1521. Not much difference really.. Thoughts?

Banana, H > T

sounds like the load rating is by a fair amount, too.
