I'd be game for an Allroad meetup, but I have a feeling it would be difficult during the summer. My summer weekends are real busy; I assume that's the case for most people, as well.

B9 Allroad - tires rubbing with 034 springs and 235/35R20
Just completed virtually identical build, 2018 Audi Allroad Prestige with 034motorsports lowering springs, HRE FF01 et25 with 255/35R20. I'm loving it, but front tires are rubbing against the fender. The only difference between my build and yours, as far as I can tell, is I'm running a different tire: I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. I need to address rubbing on both front tires. I'm wondering if the problem is either (1) did you get et35 from HRE (I have et25) or (2) perhaps there's a significant tread width difference between my Michelin's and yours. Do you you recall the offset you used? Thanks! Do you have any other advice?

Regarding the rubbing: There's quite a few of us that have suspension modifications, and aftermarket wheels. I don't know of many, (or . . . not any) that have had rubbing issues. Personally, I have 20x9 ET29 wheels, with 255/35 Yokohama ADVAN Sport A/S+ tires. 034 springs. No rubbing issues. A few are even running 10" wide wheels with no issue. I have to think something else is going on for there to be rubbing?

I think my low profile roof rails set mine apart. And I’ve painted the fender flairs and bumpers to match body color

@cue good point, I should say that wheel/suspension combination is virtually identical: 034motorsports lowering springs, HRE FF01 et25 and 255/35R20 (as you pointed out, not the rest of the build!). It's good to hear you have no rubbing. I think I just ended up with some bad luck by a few millimeters. Comparing to your build, I am running et25, not et29 (so you have -4mm at the outer edge of the rim/fender) and then my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ have a wider tread (despite max width identical at 255mm). I noted that TireRack specs for your tire shows tread width of 8.5". Remarkably that's only 215.9mm for a 255 tire. Whereas Tirerack shows a tread width for my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ of 9.3" which is 236.2mm. So, that's a pretty big difference in tread width, 20.3mm total which is 10.1mm at the rim/fender. So, between your et29 (-4mm vs. my et25) and your narrower tread width (-10.1mm at the rim/fender vs. my Michelins) you've got 15mm more clearance which is more than a 1/2 inch. So, there you have it. Comparing those to the build above, it has Michelin Pilot Sport 4S with a tread width of 9", according to Tirerack, so that's 228.6mm, which is a whopping 7.6mm, or just 3.8mm at the rim/fender. That's why I talk about bad luck, because that's such a small amount, just over 1/8 inch (actually 5/32) and that's just the smallest fraction. Ugh. Right now, my plan is either (option 1) sell my brand new HRE FF01s and 255/35R20 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S then get perhaps BBS CI-R with a 245/40R19 with a narrower tread OR (option 2) try another set of tires, I could try 245/35R20, paying careful attention to tread width, but I am worried about ride quality. On the other hand, I suppose it may not be that bad if it's only 3.8mm less sidewall.

B9 Allroad lowering springs - why not just use stock / OEM A4 springs?
Hi, have you ever considered just installing OEM A4 springs as an alternative to lowering springs for the B9 Allroad? I installed 034motorsport lowering springs with 255/35R20 and I have 2 issues one of which I documented on the forum: (Issue #1) tires are rubbing see description (original post here and follow up here). BUT, in addition, I'm ALSO bottoming out regularly on the 034 motorsports springs (I have a Prestige B9 with adaptive dampers and I bottom out on all modes, not just Comfort). I could consider H&R springs or H&R coilovers, but now I am wondering -- why not just go to the dealer and get stock OEM A4 springs. What do you guys think?
