Recommendations for plastic cladding

I've noticed that the cladding on my allroad seems to be prematurely fading. Any recommendations on products you prefer to use on the trim?

I would maybe look into products designed for matte paint finish. The cladding is painted, although it doesn't look like it.

mine looks like **** too - as noted its actually painted matte which is notoriously hard to take care of. any other suggestions for products to make it look even and dark again?

I ended up using Rust-Oleum Wipe New Trim Restore and it came out great so far.

Bought it off Amazon for $13 and taped off the area around the trim and applied 2 coats. It's only been about a month but its in constant sun and 90 degree heat. So far so good.

You may try Mothers Back To Black.

Audi has a product, but it's pretty expensive, about $1,000. I think it's called Full Paint Finish. Very low maintenance, but only comes in a handful of colors.

The problem is even though the trim looks like most other plastic pieces it's painted with a matte finish so I'm hesitant to put a product designed for plastic trim on the finish

I see what you did there.

I would recommend . you do not need to worry about applying to the body because this product is actually great on bodies as well.

Fix!

I spoke to a detailer this week and even though mr clean magic erasers are a big no no on glossy clearcoat, they are ok on the rough matte trim. Used one with all purpose cleaner as a lubricant. The difference is incredible. Trim looks brand new

wiped off with a MF towel and I am very pleased
