Tire rotation uh oh.
I posted this in the A4 B9 section, but wanted to share this with my Allroad brothers too.
I just brought my Allroad to Audi for the 30k service and on the way out picked up one of their brochures - this one on tire rotation. Since my AR has Quatro Ultra - the tire rotation (every 5k) is back to front and front tires crossed to back. On standard Quatro it's front to back and rear tires crossed to front. What the heck? I have been doing straight front to back and back to front forever. At this point with about 25k already on my tires I wouldn't even know where to begin getting back on track.osted thgis in the A4 B9

Hardly matters. Each time, two of the tires will have their direction of rotation reversed. That used to be a no-no. Now it seems to be recommended. Sort of like "Is coffee good for you?". And then there are tires with a direction of rotation specified on the sidewall................

And now, this:
https://www.caranddriver.com/feature...-rotate-tires/
which says:
"Rotation pattern for all-wheel-drive vehicles: Crisscross all four tires (move the right front to the left rear, the left front to the right rear, the left rear to the right front, and the right rear to the left front)."
Of course if you actually do that, two of the tires will merely rotate RF/LR while the other two keep swapping LF/RR. They never get to visit the other two corners!
