Default Wheel fitment - A4/A4 allroad

Has anyone swapped a set of a line wheels from an A4 sedan on an allroad? I am interested in running a summer set, OEM wheels are 8.5x9 and I think an offset of 40. The stock 18 on an allroad are 7.5 x 18 with an offset of 26 or 29. I realize the wheel mentioned above will be closer to the strut slightly but I'm guessing it should still fit.

any experience would be appreciated

Allroad fenders will eat up those wheels, meaning they will really be sunk inside the fender.

You either need spacers or get the version the RS5 uses.

F_399 (or anyone that knows) what eta is providing owners with a flush wheel on the B9 Allroad? Stock is 29et I believe...how much more to get the wheels flush?

General question on wheel fitment for offsets:

It looks like the stock offset for the Allroad 2017 is 29 - I'm looking at some wheels that are 35 offset. If I'm understanding offset correctly, the wheels with a 35 offset will stick out a little further from the fenders, versus the stock wheels - or am I backwards on that?

Its the opposite of your thinking. 35et will be further in, not out than a 29et. So spacers would be needed to push the wheels back out.

This drawing suggests that larger offset puts more of the wheels farther towards the center of the car.

Sorry to bump this back up - I'm having a pretty hard time finding wheels with an offset of 29 to match stock. How risky are spacers? I'm getting mixed responses from shops, some saying no problem, some saying they compromise structural integrity.

Also, it appears stock are et29 and 7.5 or 8 wide, if I went with wheels et35 and 9 wide, would this push the wheels back out from the fender appropriately?

Stock wheels are ET 29 and 7.5 x 18. If you went et 35 and 9 that would result in a more square stance if that is what you are going for.
