1998 2.8 Buy?
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and wanted to see if I can get some advice. I have the chance to buy a 1998 A4 with a 2.8 and a five speed. The seller says the problem with the car is 2 stuck lifters. It has 123K on it. He wants $550.
I honestly don't know much about the cars and thought I could get some help from people who are familiar with them. This would be a daily driver. So I would like to know if this would be a good buy? What would I have to do to get the car running and reliable enough to be a daily driver? Any other help would be appreciated guys. This is the link. Let me know. Thanks all https://offerup.com/item/detail/687042697/

If this is to be a daily driver and you are not a DIY Audi proficient person then I say no. A 20 year old Audi is going to need routine maintenance and replacing 20 year old parts can be pricey if paying someone to do it. That said this is likely one of the more reliable models with that engine. I would think a Toyota or similar would be a more sensible choice.
