2.8 30v Coil Packs.. How do they work, where can I buy them?
Im pretty sure im loosing a coil pack on my 2.8 30v. My #6 cyl has misfired a few times, I have a rough idle and hesisatation, so im pretty sure its coilpack after elimiating spark plugs and fuel as a possible culprit.
However I am not sure how the "coilpack" works on these cars... I am used to having a distributer car so from looking at the car real quickly there appears to be one coil pack per 2 cylinders, (the one in question being #3 and #6 on the same pack?)
Is that correct? Or wrong? If wrong where is the coil pack and how many are there and what should I pay for one?
thanks.

Try new wires. How many miles do you have?
You're right...one "coilpack" for two cylinders, so if that was the issue, you'd likely see both cylinders misfiring. If you're sure that the plugs and injectors are good, that leaves the wires.

Nah, I think the wires will last much longer than the plugs.
I don't know the plug intervals on the V6 engine. For the wires, you could probably change out the wires every 90K...Kris Hansen might have a better idea.
Magnecore is one of the aftermarket alternatives, but I've read conflicting opinions on those...so perhaps OEM is the best bet.
