2.8 Transmission swap questions....
A: I degreased the trans today during lunch, looking nice, but I'm tempted to paint it with silver enamel to make it easier to clean. Yes or No.
B: Do I just take the 2 trans mount arms off the 1.8T and just bolt them to the 2.8 trans? The 2.8 didn't come with any brackets attached.

Yep, just swap the brackets over
I wouldn't bother with the paint, but that's just my opinion.
Actually, if it was brand new I'd paint it, but if it's used, you probably won't be able to get all the gunk off and you'll have little sections that flake off because of grease underneath them etc.

i'm not 100% sure but i think the 1.8 trans uses 2 different mounts than a v6 trans so
they might be different. The v6 trans uses the sames mounts on both sides. I hope this helps.

Thats what I was thinking. Somethings gotta be different as only 1 of the mounts is same between
the 1.8t and the 2.8. I think its the drivers side that differs (whichever mount is oriented perpendicular).
