Well, after about six months of waiting, my 2001 A4 arrived last month. I would like to have 3M Stoneguard (or other similar clear bra product) installed before Bay Area freeways take their toll on my paint job. I'm sure these questions have been asked before, but alas, the search feature is broken.

- Where is a good location in the SF Bay Area to have Stoneguard installed?
- What surfaces should I have covered?
- What should I expect to pay (including installation)?

Thanks in advance. Now that my car has arrived, I plan on doing a little less lurking and a little more posting.

Rik Walters of Detailwerks in Campbell. I had it installed in September as soon as I took delivery of my A4. After looking at the stone chips dotting the front of my GTI, I decided I never want my A4 to look like that.

I did the complete kit, including the headlights. The headlight lenses are made plastic, but I still figured that the StonGard would be less of a hassle than replacing a cracked/broken lens.<ul><li><a href="http://www.detailwerks.com/">Detailwerks</a></li></ul>
