60mm boost gauge...mounting ideas.

I know...all possibilities have already been exhausted...but that doesn't stop me from thinking about it.

The gauge I like (albeit slightly ricey) doesn't come any smaller than 60 mm. 60mm is a little too large to squash into the center vent.

So that leaves the A pillar...but I don't like the aftermarket A pillars that are available.

Center console? Got the stock stereo in there (and it's staying).

Ashtray? Don't think it's deep enough...ashtray door must close!

Glovebox/Armrest? Eh...no.

Maybe I'll hollow out my speedo, and mount it in there?

Ugh! Maybe no boost gauge for me.

How about up by the sunroof controls?

Not too fond of that. V1 remote display occupies the top of the steering column...

maybe eventually a toy guy pod, so that's out too.

WOW

I think this is my first time seeing you asking the question Raj as opposed to providing the answer. Im so used to learning about my car from your posts :)

I have seen the SPP custom fabricated A-pillars that hold a 60mm gauge.

My choice spot would be a custom fabrication to mount the gauge on the shifter surrond area. I think I saw a picture here somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.

Put one in the trunk.

if it's purely for the looks.

Put it outside like the tachometer on some old muscle car

mmmm, white trash

How is that different from an AWE-type gauge?

I've never paid close attention, but I've seen a number of the AWE gauges.

:-P
