'96 ABS module help

I am able to use the bosch 5.3 module in place of the 5.0 if the only change is the size of the module? has anyone done this? if not anyone got a 5.0 module laying around? or know where to get a cheap one? i sent a parts request to shokan and they quoted at almost 400 bucks. thanks guys

have you talked to modulemaster.com? they should be able to rebuild yours

I have an ABS module...

...for sale out of my 1999.5 A4. Will that work for you?

yea called them the other day they can fix the 5.3 and it looks like ive got the 5.0...

i dont think so ive got the bosch 5.0 module... looks like in 98 the 5.3 module was put in the car..

so im guessing you've got a 5.3 or higher

98 and above only since those are the ones with connectivity problems.

I bet his 96 one is more of a fried component, which probably won't be serviceable.
