Those features usually only come if you got the winter package which also has heated seats. I know on the US Audi's (maybe the foreign ones as well) there is a sticker in the trunk where the spare wheel is stored. The sticker has special codes on it which describe the features on you car. If you have these features they could just be malfunctioning. The mirrors are an easy and relatively cheap replacement, if you don't have the stubby right side mirror. I don't know about the door lock heating system. By the way some additional info like the year of the car e.t.c. would be nice.

sorry, It is a 1999 a4 1.8t quattro, and i dont know if it is pre-face lift or not. i have noticed two glowing differences on the two different kinds of 1999's though; the fog lights and the heat/ac controls. My '99 does not have the fog lights down-low (they are right next to the head lights) also the heat/ac controls have the two different screens. I dont know if that means i have a 99.5 or a 99
hope that helps!

Heated mirrors
As far as I know, all of them come with heated mirrors, the problem is (at least on my 98.5) mirrors are always on, so they burn out pretty quickly. I just took out the fuse.
BTW, have an extra driver's side heated glass - replaced mine with the euro glass.

Are your mirrors oranging/rusting. IE: That funny build up around the edge. If they are, then the defrosting mirrors no longer work. You will need to replace them in order for defrost to work again. Also, they only come on with the defrost button, I thought?
As for the Euro glass, it is very nice, it adds a tapered portion so you can see directly behind you as well as a bit off to each side, sort of like a fish eye lens but less distorted.

I replaced my mirror from ECS. .and it looks NICE! No more burnt brown/orange junk. Unless you're used to the Euro mirror, I wouldn't get it. When you look at the mirror, then look up at the road. .it takes me a second/two to adjust cause of the perspective change.
