97 1.8T won't start
On four separate occassions over a period of three months I've had starting problems. Each time the car had been in the garage and I started it up without problem for only 30-60 seconds to move it. Each time, hours later when I went to start the car after it had been sitting the starter would engage, the engine would turn but it would not kick over. Eventually after trying, waiting and trying 5-10 minutes it would start with an abundance of smoke and fuel smell blowing out the muffler (would seem to indicate it was getting gas). After the third time this happened I brought it back to Audi they claimed a bad oxygen sensor and replaced it under warranty. Now it just happened again only weeks after that repair. The car's inability to start seems similar to when a car is not getting spark to the plugs. Anyone with a similar problem?
