97 and 98 differences, please help

hey i was wondering if the 97 and 98 1.8T had any performance differences cause i know they did a little maintinence to the A4s in 98. also, does the 97 have the nice red interior glow on the consoles and gauges like the 98 does? thanks for your help.

Yes, 1997 has the same red lighting on the gauges.

no diff unless you're looking into the v6...then there's a huge diff (18 valves)
