99.5 A4 1.8T QTip hesitation and low MPG problem fixed

I was getting around 15 MPG, sometimes on especially hot days with A/C on trip computer would even show 13 MPG. Although never really measured mileage on a tankfull of gas, I don't think the trip reading was much off, - the car really liked to sip gas.
Also, from acceleration from a standstill was lame as it took forever for engine revs to get above 1k.

The car has a fresh set of copper spark plugs and a brand-new pre-cat OEM O2 sensor.

Solution? Cleaned the MAF using a RadioShack electronics spray cleaner. The whole thing took about 20 minutes. The car is alive now and showing 20-22 MPG in city driving.

While searching for a possible solution I have noticed that quite a few people were looking into a cause for hesitation. So, there. Hopefully, this will help some.

Thank you. Question though...

Now that you've replaced the elbow(s) is your MPG better? Not quite sure from your post.
Thanks.
