There's been a lot of discussion on this forum about the 99.5 A4 and what makes it different from the 98.5. While A4 shopping today, we came upon a salesman who actually had a complete list of Exterior, Interior and Trunk updates. Here's the list.<p>INTERIOR: Audi script on aluminum door sill, power passenger seat (2.8), power lumbar support on both seats (2.8), New Atmosphere interior choices of Ecru/Cabernet and Clay (to replace Terra Cotta), color coordinated steering wheel, revised center console with A6 style climate control and heated seat switches, Illuminated air vent controls, Dampened grab handles and ashtray, Red ambient spot lighting in rear view mirror housing, Passenger reading lights recessed in the headliner, Aluminum surround for manual gear shift lever.<p>EXTERIOR: A6 type ellipsoid headlights and fog lights in lower bumper apron, new grill, larger opening for moonroof, A6 style door handles, Heated washer jets moved from hood to cowl area, A6 style high gloss "B" pillar, A6 style white side markers with amber bulb, All red rear lamp cluster with clear inset for back-up light, Light Silver replaces Aluminum Silver, Laser Red available on all A4's.<p>TRUNK: A6 style tool kit, upgraded trunk lining with new CD mounting location.<p>Missing from US spec 99.5 as compared to the Euro 99.5 press announcement: any mention of suspension update, no ESP, no head protection air bags.<p>The salesman said any car ordered now will be built as a 99.5.
