99 Audi A4 Window Regulator Replacement
Perhaps a dumb question, but I am trying to find a replacement window regulator and all the non-original equipment parts that are available suggest that the regulators with motors are for those models without the auto up/down feature. As best I can tell, all models (mine is a 2.8l v6)have the auto up/down feature. So, will these replacement parts likely work but just lose the auto up/down capability? Specifically, I am looking at a part made by Pimax.

All the replacement regulators I have ever seen have no motors.
The motor is a separate item.
It's the plastic glass clamps that normally fail not the motor. Unless you are sure the motor is bad I would just buy a new regulator.
Not that expensive $150-200.

I am not sure but maybe they have it here, where my sister buy ford auto parts for her car. Try it, they might have one for your Audi.

Thanks all for your input. Actually found the part for $31 at www.dartauto.com and then paid about $75 for a local body shop to install. Not bad at all, but make sure, if you try the same, that you get the original Audi steel rivets to secure in the door frame- the after market ones were aluminum vs. steel.
