Default Probably too much involved...

If you want a non-dbw, just buy a non-dbw. Probably cost far less than trying to make the conversion.

Default I stand corrected...

Figured there was more to the conversion then just doing ECU, throttle cable, pedal, etc. How does the non-dbw ECU work with the dbw motors equipped with variable valve timing and the sort?

Default I didn't do a lot of digging as I am already nDBW but...

This page shows the Golf/Jetta conversion 'kit'. I would imagine the Audi would be similar. If you swap over to a nDBW ECU and install the MAF sensor I would expect the MAP sensor would no longer 'pertain'.<ul><li><a href="http://www.eurospecsport.com/electrical.html">Eurospec .. not ECS</a></li></ul>

Default I know someone running a VVT head on a nDBW Stg 3. I don't know where in the V the VT lives but IIRC

No idea. The person I spoke of is just running a VVT head on a nDBW car. It isn't a conversion.
