I don't know the actual dimensions of the pulley; only similar one I currently stock is part of the 'corner pulley' as I call it (used in several Audi models). Left and right version shown below.

I wish I had seen this earlier...just did this on one of my rear windows. Does anyone know what grease is recommended for the regulators? The old grease in mine was more like abrasive compound with all the dirt it had taken on. When I'm bored I plan to take apart the other three doors and clean and relube each.

Lube Grease
White lithium grease is what I am using

I want to thank you so much for your very thorough posting on this subject of the window regulator. I have a very well maintained 2002 Audi S4. I had an issue with the RR window. I took the door panel off and could see the top white plastic pulley had shattered. Broken pieces were in the bottom of the door. Audi wanted an exorbitant price for the regulator. I bought one online from 'part out' B5 for $69. I followed your directions with pictures step by step, and everything went well. A great and very helpful posting. Thank you very much.

Quick question - the original poster noted that the holes for the motor bolts weren't tapped out - anyone else come across this? I've just received my replacement regulator and see the same, but am wondering if I actually need to tap them or if they will self-tap. I don't really want to destroy a bolt in order to find out.. Thanks!!
