A4 light issue/problem
Hello everyone. I have an issue with my 1999 A4, 1.8T Q, sedan which somebody may already faced before: my light is going out every 3-4 months. All I have: parking light, turn light and high beam flashing light. Low beam lights and high light in "on" position do not work. I know what the the problem is: this lights/cruise control module is going bad. Inside there is a little lower plastic component with 2 cooper contact groups on the springs. As soon as one of the tracks is overheating plastic is melting and one contact group get stock and do not contact metal threads. It takes time to take off plastic covers, disconnect airbag, remove steering wheel completely before module can be replaced, tricky enough at least for my skills.
My question is: what could cause this overheating? Does anyone hear about recall? My bulbs are right according to manual 12V/55W and fuses are correct ones.
Any help would be appreciated!!
