Default happened to me

I had a bad connection at the connector actually and this fried sensor quickly from the constant on/off. At least on DBW I could run MAF less thought.

Default I had those hose to the intake manifold pop off on me around 60 mph @ 20 psi

rpm dropped super low (between 200-300) and I lost all power steering and braking... it was quite scary.

LOL. So was it the reason? Or did it break while you were diagnosing?

Default That is true...IF the connection is not intermittent like mine was.

Basically the static MAF values will be used if the MAF goes out (i.e. clean break in wiring or totally dead MAF. However, mine was going nuts because it would detect the MAF half the time and then lose it. It would buck like a wild horse.
