A4 Restyling - Drastic Measures for Drastic Times
When I first picked up my Silver '00 A4 1.8tq in mid December 99, I almost never saw another A4 on the road in the area. I was somewhat unique, and I liked it. Now, those damn Audi commercials on TV throughout the year have wreaked havoc on my uniqueness. Not only am I seeing A4's everywhere now, but every damn one is silver. grumble grumble. Drastic times call for drastic measures. Mods! :-)
Can anyone recommend a few companies that sell body kits/enhancements for the A4? Preferably a company with a nice color catalog that shows what the changes will look like. New sidemirrors, front/rear spoilers, whatever.
If I see 1 more 60yr old man putting around town in an identical Silver A4 I'm gonna pull my hair out!<p>Doug.

Sounds like the 60 year old men in the area already did that. :)

Only 1 S4 in the last 7 months ...
In comparison, I see A4's, specifically silver A4's, all the time now.
As for appreciation, come on, there's more to owning an Audi than just having a nice ride. Part of the thrill is the uniqueness. They're not as trendy as other cars in the same class, like certain BMW models.<p>Doug.

I was all set on a silver one, but...
my folks already have a silver A6, so that would have been pretty boring. Which is okay, because I fell in love with Santorin at first sight. So far I've seen only two others in any state that look similar to mine (including wheels), none if you count the interior. Of course, dark blue is quite a pain to keep nice.<p>'99 A4 2.8Q-tip Santorin/Onyx

No appreciation, and "good" salesperson,
"Yes, I do think you'll need the S4 maam, the A4 won't get around town fast enough for you to get your groceries and be home in time for Prairie Home Companion"<p>A4 2.8Q

PRECISELY my point ...
And my reasoning/desire to make some changes. :-) Hell, if I wanted a trendy car I would have bought a beemer.
It wouldn't be so bad if there was a reasonable amount of variety in the colors, but it's the Silver A4's I'm always seeing. It's one *very* popular color.<p>Doug.
