Default Have Canadian A4, using US Gauge cluster, connectors dont match

I have a Canadian A4 and I am trying to replace the cluster due to an issue. I got the same year US A4 cluster and the connectors in the back are not the same due to tabs on their sides, they appear the same size and connections but the connector itself doesnt fit due to different snaps/tabs.

Has anyone found this issue, I know its rare or does anyone have info on the wiring so perhaps I can transplant the wires to the other connector?

What's the issue you're trying to resolve by replacing the cluster?

Issue is that the connectors coming from my cars harness dont match the slots they fit into on the back of the cluster due to a difference in the connector design.
They are overall the same in shape but have different notches and locking points thus dont fit into the back of the US cluster, I am not sure why there is a difference, the clusters are identical.

That's NOT what I asked. Why are you swapping the clusters in the first place?

I wish I could answer your question, but if you could show us a picture we would be more able to help, and as for the forum being *******s and not really answering your questions there all like that, but you will get some answers once in awhile

Dont worry, not concerned with attitudes, been on here since 1997 and know how it goes.
In any case, my current cluster has some issues with 2 readings, coolant and oil and thus the interest to swap it.
I will post a pic later.

In any case, does anyone have the diagram for these?

1998+ used different connectors. 2000+ used the same connectors but the wiring is different. I suspect you have the cluster from a different year. What is the year? I have a 97 cluster I don't need.

Can you post a pic of the back of yours?
The one I bought is supposedly from a 97 US model, I am concerned there was some issue in the US vs Canada cars.

This is 96, 97 (what I have)

This is the 98+ style:

Perhaps we can trade since you appear to have what I need and vice versa.
