ABS Problem after sensor replacement
When replacing my rear wheel bearings, what a pain that was, on my 99 A4 2.7, I broke one of the rear wheel ABS sensors. I replaced with new Bosch unit and the ABS light is now out. The problem is that when I am coming to a stop, just below 5 MPH, the ABS kicks in and flutters the pedal, regardless of the road surface. I have checked the wiring to make sure that when I removed the Connector to fish the wire, that I reassembled with the right polarity and found it to be correct. Is it possible I don't have the sensor inserted all the way. The one I removed was rusted in and the end looked like it had been dragging on the Half Shaft armature so I am wary about inserting too far. Is there a recommended GAP, I have been unable to find this information in either my service manual and/or on the web. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
