ABS pump replacement

I was wondering if anybody ever had to get there ABS pump replaced. All of a sudden my ABS and BRAKE lights went on in my car. I brought it to the stealership and the said i need a new ABS pump and it is gonna cost around $1000.

Did they put it on the VAG? I had the same thing and it

was just an ABS sensor wire that was chaffed. It was fixed in like 5 mins.

find a replacement pump/controller from car-part.com for $100.
