Ace Lolas...the adventure continues!
 

You may recall my queries some weeks back trying to find myself a set of 17" Ace Lolas, which turned into a Quixote-like effort when it turned out the wheels were discontinued by Ace.

No retailer seemed interested in the wheels so I went directly to Ace to try and persuade them there was still a market for Lolas, at least among Audi owners. Eventually I had a list of over 30 potential buyers...enough to get their attention.

This isn't the stunning GB price that I had hoped to negotiate; probably no wheel maker is going to sell outside retail channels. I still think it's an excellent deal on a great wheel. The forum archives will reveal a number of past buyers who were very happy with their Lolas. Sure, I'd love a set of Fikses or SSRs, but we'll be buying our Lolas *with tires* for what a set of those wheels alone cost.

This deal is now completely in the hands of SPP, and anyone with questions should contact Eric there. The one small thing I'm still working on is Audi center caps; I've got the part number and price ($10/ea) for grey ones, and am working on silver ones. Once this is settled I think everyone can just buy their own, probably from Clair. Email me if you're interested in this, putting Ace in the subject, please.
