Advantages to 18" Rims?

I've heard that 18" rims cause the car to ride very rough. Decent for sport but lousy for calm driving. Anyone have any comments about their 18" wheels (aside from the fact that they look sweet)

I feel mine ride just fine...

I'm sure it would ride a little better with 17" rims. Unless the roads in your city suck, 18"s will be fine.
