at this again...my new koni/vogtland shock spring is actually longer, from perch to perch,
than my old stock sport. the rod in the koni seems to be a longer than the stock shock. does that sound right? it's making remounting a little difficult.
are there any tricks to getting the shock back in, or basically use the same way you used to take them out.

Yes, I found the Konis a bit longer than the Bilsteins I took out:

Shouldn't be any problems putting it back in, as the spring will limit the travel of the piston.....not sure where you're running into trouble.
