Air Bag Light
Got another question about my 2000 A4. Not long after I got it, the air bag light came on, but the next time I started the car it went off like normal and never lit again. Now it's back and won't go away. What could be causing the light to come on? Will the air bags still function in the event of an accident? Thanks!

not 100% true
If the light is on and that bag is still causing an issue it will not try to ignite that particular airbag.
However at the instant of the collision if the resistance is reading correctly then it will send the signal to fire the airbag.
also it will still fire the seat belt charges and if its a side airbag fault or whatever and its only a front accident then it will still fire the fronts etc etc etc.

Re: Get a VAG-COM and find out. They don't call them Idiot Lights for nothing.
So it could be that simple. Ya know, I did clean my car the other day and there was some stuff under the seats. I'll check for any loose connections. Thanks for the time and info!
