Considering purchase of '00 A4 but a bit spooked by some horror stories on this site re. dealers. At least with other companies there's usually a choice of dealerships in a given city. Does anyone have good or bad feedback to share re. sales/service experience with dealers in Buffalo or Rochester? Thanks!

IMHO, I can tell you this... John Holtz has a very good service team. If you are looking for sales... you may have better luck else where. <br>Of course, that's just my opinion. *hint* *hint*<p>Cris<br>

Thanks Jeff & Cris. I'm nearer Buffalo anyway. Would've been worth trips to Roch if purchase situation was likely to be superior there, but it doesn't sound as if that's the case.

I purchased my car on Long Island but do most of my services in Rochester (John Holtz) since I go to college there. Compared to the dealers I've been to on Long Island, John Holtz Audi has a better or far better service department. If I needed major work done on my car I would consider going to college early and taking my car there rather than down here on Long Island. Sales however, seems to be a different story at least from what I hear. I have never dealt with a John Holtz salesman, but I hear they are less flexible than dealers that actually have competition within a metropolitan area.<p> DH<br> 98 A4 1.8<br>
