Default Absolutely.

My A4 was the last auto I bought. While tip is good for an auto, it is still an auto. I am so much happier with a manual now. I will never again by an auto.

Default dont do it..

if u plan on modding your a4 and you are a performance oriented person you will be kicking yourself in the nutz for getting an auto instead of a 5-speed

if you want to just recline and be a 'drivin ms daisy driver' then by all means an auto is the way to go

Default Really.........

I test drove the new Mazda 6 sporty version and the Mercedes C class Amg. Both were impressive with accelleration despite being auto.

I was thinking if I mod an auto a4 significantly, I might have the same type of performance.
Not so... huh?

Default yes,...and no

i wanted a stick but i couldnt pass up the deal i got on the tip. if i had the choice, stick of course. but after driving my friends wife's a4 w/stick im kind of glad i ended up with the tip because the way i drive, i can see clutch parts scattered about the ground after a few months, and probably a new rear. also i did not like the way the clutch grabbed on her car, i dont know if they are all the same. but hers grabbed really high off the floor. with practice you can get the tip to shift pretty quick. but again if i had the choice, stick!

Default No thank you in advance.... Tip = Ownage on the road of life....

A 5 spd you can shift, a Tip you can drive, once you drive a Tiptronic, you get the best of life.

In the words of a once great poet, who sat on the toilet, he said:

"Son, your lazy *** can't drive a car, so let me shift with my foot..."

In which the greatest of TipTronic, no longer stoic (sp?), became 5spd owners worst vice, while blasting Vanilla Ice, out of a Bose sound system, installed in Germany, we, us Audi owners are very quite weird.
