dash - swapped out for a lighter dash pad/gutted
removed- carpet, rear seat, speaker panals, headliner, plastic pillars, sound mats, a/c, radio, speakers.... replaced - seats with sparco, steering wheel with momo, all windows except windshield with lexan added - roll cage, foam padding oh wait...are u talking about the A4? |
What I have done so far
Top of rear seats
Spare Tool box and support Pulled the fronts for real race seats Stock air box A/C out with FMIC in its place Secondary pump Steering wheel out for a sparco race wheel Rear speakers With 1/4 tank of fuel and driver the car was 3175 on the scale. Car might be a little more now with the new turbo and full 3" exhaust, so I might have to pull more weight removal mods. |
no a/c? I couldn't live without it. not bad since I'm at 3298...
without spare, rear seat, and 1/4 tank + 2 subs, amp and my fata$$ that could lose 15-20 lbs.

I am used to the heat with working inside cars on dealership lots
in vegas and palmsprings during the summers.
My 3175 was with all of the rear seats in, so it should have been about 30-40 lbs lighter if I took them out. The first time I got on the scale at Pomona raceway it was 3220 with 1/8th tank, rear seats out and me in. |
dude i'm dead smack in FL, but I never use my AC even in summer,
always cruise with the windows down. as soon as the car moves, it's like free AC :). (unless i'm on highway)
