Oh yes. I think they should have them on the hood for the windows so I can watch them go.

Default I like to hit them when stoped at lights or on a 2 way street...

makes it look like they are blinking to the oncoming traffic

Default Useful in more ways than one

It was a lovely summer day. The sun was shining. I had my sunroof and windows open. I was driving in the left lane. There was traffic, but I wasn't in a particular hurry. The guys in the convertible behind me, apparently were. In my opinion, they were following me too closely. I didn't really have a way to get out of their way. I grumbled.

she: "What's wrong?"

me: "These guys are needlessly tailgating me."

she: "Why are you closing the windows and roof?"

me: "Watch this!"

I flipped on my headlights, then I held the washer for a few seconds. The windshield washer fluid sprayed over the top and the headlight washers sprayed around the sides. Haha! The convertible backed off in visible disapproval.

We laughed. :-)

It's just about the most James Bond thing you can do with your car (legally).
Drew S. 98.5 A4 2.8 qm

Default Well, I often find them ANNOYING as hell...

like when my car is really clean and I just need to clean my windshield at night. Friggin washers pop up and soak the entire front of the car! Damn it! So I have to wait for a red light or pull over, so I can turn off the lights, clean the damn window, and turn the lights back on. I may just get fed up enough to wire a cutoff switch to one of the blanks. I don't see why it would have been so hard for Audi to have just made a seperate headlight washer switch to begin with.

Ok, rant over, and they are pretty cool. I love the looks on peoples faces when the do their little thing next to them.

Default Leave them as they are

My washers are aimed at the windshield and lights. But at speeds above say, 40 mph, after the stream hits the windshield, a certain amount of the fluid "bounces off" and becomes more of a mist. The car travels under the mist and the next car drives into it.

The other car doesn't get all that wet, but it's enough to annoy the driver. Even better with factory washer fluid!

Disclaimer: Be careful. There are crazy people out there that can be encouraged into a form a rage from such mischief. Make sure your car can out-run and/or out-maneuver theirs!
Drew S. 98.5 A4 2.8 qm

Default Misaligned washers???

does this happen to you guys? When I hit hte washers, the stream of fluid hits the back of the wiper blades and doesn't fully coat the windshield. I have to wait for the wiper blade to go on the upstroke, then soak the bottom part of the windshield. It's a pain. Do tell...
Roc71
