Mine used to - story inside...
It was the strangest thing - the button would only stick when the trunk would not open. What I mean to say is that I was having trouble with the electronics of the door locks - sometimes when I unlocked the whole car, the trunk would not unlock. When I pushed the button it would stay in and I would have to wiggle it back out.
The techs changed my door control module and once the electronic locks started working properly, the locks never stuck again.
I could have sworn that it was a mechanical problem - but it was all in the electronics...
Go to your FNAD (friendly neighbourhood Audi dealer) and get them to fix it - you shouldn't have to live with any irritants. (they'll probably just spray the button with a lubricant tho ;-)
If you are considering a lubricant, my father used to have this tube of silicon powder. It lubricated extremely well, but didn't collect dirt like an oil might.

This only happens when you push it to soon after unlocking it with the remote.
