Anyone have dealer check the rear brake noise when reversing.....
I have narrowed it down to the passenger side rear brake and it has something to do with the hand brake. I am afraid to take my car in to the dealer because it has Jamex springs and they may try to blame the lowered height.
Thanks,
Cary B

YEs,....
Mine had had a brake noise since day one. Just a slight brake howle when backing up after releasing the parking brake. I'm not woried about it, figured its normal with rear disc brakes. I know they arent dragging because where is park is SO slight of a grade and the car still rolles away as soon as the park brake is released. (a 96 accord I coulldnt push away).

Re: Yes,me too.....
I've experienced the same thing off and on since I bought the car (98.5 2.8 5 spd) I mentioned it to the dealer once, they didn't seem too concerned and claim they could not duplicate it (as usual). It did it with the standard suspension, and was doing recently with the retrofit sport suspension i recently installed.....

Yeah, I got the same thing ...
The said it was brake related and therefore normal behavior, but the noise is sometimes very loud, and my foot is completely off the brake. I'm going to take it in again when I have a more accomodating schedule. If anyone has a success story I would appreciate it some details. It's always better to go to the dealer that way.
