Anyone using the Apexi turbo timer? Need help

Does it use an Audi specific harness? Just bid on a used one on ebay, and from looking at the apexi website, it mentions that the unit uses a vehicle specific harness. The website doesn't sell them though.

You wont need a harness. You can just cut the wires and solder them.

Can I find a wiring diagram anywhere? Or should I get a Greddy?

I got the APexi turbo timer on my site, never heard anything about a vehicle specific harness...

Anyone know how it's installed? Any feedback on any other brands?

All TTs are the same essentially.

Look at the write up in the tech section. He explains how to wire up the TT so that it work correctly. Some other features might come with different models. For example, I wired up the speed feature in my Greedy unit. So now I can use the auto timer feature. It also records 0-60 speeds and some other stuff, but I dont even use it for that. You can wire up the parking break shut off signal wire also.
I like my Greedy unit. If you send an email to Ansen at audimods@yahoo.com he can swap the LEDs so that the unit will light up red, and match the interior.

Turbo timer write up from tech section.

Maybe I'll have it installed at a shop. Any ideas on shops in the Bay Area?

I am not sure if this is the bay area, but this guy moded my TT for me

He did a great job on the LED swap and I have heard testimonials from other audi and vw owners about him. Like I said, he did some work for me and I was very happy.

http://www.audimods.com/contact.htm</a

Thanks, but that's in Southern California. I appreciate the suggestion.
