Default APR Stage 3 BRAKES, Installed! Wheel Clearance Issues--ADVICE WANTED

Sorry to yell, but I'm really annoyed and I hate it when things don't quite go as planned. I have Moda R1's (17") with Kumhos. Love the wheels and tires. Got APR big brakes at sale, really want to keep them on the car. I figured that they would not fit. So I bought 4 HR 5mm spacers so that the front and rear track would be the same.

Problem is they needed 10mm spacers (two sets of 5mm, I had figured just 5mm would be enough) to get just the front to clear the wheel. Now my front track is 20mm wider than the rear. Not good.

Here are my choices:

1) By spacers for the rear (another $150 bucks) to make all the wheels match up at 10mm.

2) Grind the inside of the wheels and use just one spacer, probably will require wheels to be balanced and will prohibit rotation unless I grind and balance all 4 wheels.

3) Buy new wheels that fit, sell these.

I'm not in the mood to spend $ on the car right now.

So thoughts, BTDT, are really appreciated.

Default I think Fikses cost MORE than the 928!

Seriously though, I value your opinion. I don't want to do option 3, but it seems like the other options are throwing good money after bad at this point.

Default the problem with options 1 and 2....

is you begin to compromise the integrity of the wheels, their connection to the hub, and the handling of the car. Maybe not by much, but some nonetheless. On top of all of that, ask yourself if you would really be satisfied with doing anything less than buying wheels that do fit properly over the brakes.

Overbill someone by a few hours; you'll cover the cost of new wheels for you AND me in no time...and I'll never tell a soul

Default get a good set of 17s that clear your brakes, spend ~$1200.

$50 mount + balance
sell old wheels cheap, and you're only out 6 or 7 hundered.

Default LOL--

Very funny overbill comment. You are right, I just needed to hear it from someone else. This is one friggin expensive hobby, eh?? Why can't I build bottle in ships or make sculpture out of budweiser cans?

Default you already know my answer :)

I think the 17" MM 11-2's might fit over APR/Stoptech's. Don't quote me on that though.
