Audi Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) --- What it really means ... Read On
Well,
I have a 97 A4, bought with Audi CPO which extends the original warr. from 3yr/50k to 5yr/75k. Covers parts and labor BUT, it looks like CPO is really no benefit at all. Comments please.
Just called into AoA and the CPO is really disappointing. BTW, please add/correct me if I have incorrect info from AoA.
-- No Loaner Car
-- Can use Audi Assist emergency number but owner gets charged for everything
-- Must pay for any Scheduled Maintenance (!!!!Sheesh!!!!)
-- Pay $50 fee everytime you visit the dealership for a warranty claim. This means you might have to "gather" a heap of things to fix and do the visit once to save some bucks.
Rgds,
Mike

Audi's got nothing on Lexus and BMW for extended warranties....
I have the Audi Assurance extended warranty on my wife's '97. The warranty came with the car when we bought it from the dealer.
My dealer ALWAYS gives me a top notch loaner (ML320, A6, etc), always waives the copay.....so I guess it depends on your dealer (of course, I am always going out to happy hour with my tech & service manager).

Forget CPO... Get one from....
Get a real extended warranty from someplace like www.warrantydirect.com or www.warrantygold.com if you feel the need. I can speak from previous personal experience with WarrantyDirect. They seem to do what they say, the way they say it; at last for me.
