Blinkers AND hazards stopped working at same time???
I have a 1999 Audi A4 Quattro (B5) ~
My blinkers and hazards stopped working all at the same time, completely. It's been this way for about 4 days now. This happened twice before, once to me, and once to my mother who had borrowed the car. The time it happened to me, I managed to screw around with the indicator switch until they came back on. That time the blinker would literally flash once and then stop altogether.
However, this time nothing is happening. It clicks on and nothing - no flashing, not blinking - nothing. I messed around with it like I did the last time and nothing. The hazards aren't even working either. I checked the fuses, and they look ok. I switched out the blinker relay and still nothing. My boyfriend is convinced that its the indicator switch itself thats the problem, since switching the indicator relay did nothing. However, I'm doubtful as replacing the indicator arm switch will not fix the hazard problem - or will it?
In other forums I've scoured, its always one or the other - usually blinkers stopped working, but hazards work or just the hazard button is the problem. Yet, both mine went out at the same time and I can't find answers! Is it possible for both relays to have gone bad and perhaps the one I replaced it with was a defect ? Or is it something else entirely that I'm missing here?

Check this link on the C5 forum for A6. I believe your issue may be similar. Much has been posted on that forum about the hazard switch.
