Battery Problems

Battery Problems
Its been cold here and today and I left the light in my visor on all day. 8 hours later my battery is dead and I need it jumpstarted. I got my car 1 year ago and I have no clue how old the battery is. I heard that its good to fill the fluid in the battery with distilled water. Does it seem like my battery is dying? If so what battery should I get?

they usually have a date of sale on the top of the battery....

for warranty reasons. If u can add water to it, its kinda old cause most newer batts are sealed now. Next having a "really" dead battery can damage it even tho it my initally take a charge. Bottom line is if its gettin cold and ur not sure how old it is and u really drained it u might consider a new one. I always try to use optima red top spiral cells if it will fit tho I havent needed one fo my a4 yet. GL
