A beginners guide to window tints (please help)
I have questions on the specifications of window tinting.
1. What are the different types of tints?
2. What is the most you can tint in Ca.?
3. Why do some tints have bubbles?
4. Would a tint be hard to see out of at night with auto dimming mirrors option.?

Some answers
1. In terms of visual differences, you can choose from reflective, colored or grey-based tints. Metallized tints (metallic content, not metallic look) do the best job filtering out UV rays and heat. Some good brands are Llumar, Formula 1, 3M.
3. Bubbles are a result of cheap tint or bad install. If you choose a name brand tint and a reputable installer, this shouldn't happen.
4. I haven't had any problems with night vision or auto-dimming. I have 23% tint on the back window.
