Neither. It is 12point. I used a torx socket though.

Default those are the instructions that i am using

I asked two stores about 12point allen sockets and they thought that I was nuts for asking...never heard of them. My car is on rino ramps right now and need to know what the deal is before sun sets. I'm calling the dealership now for clues. tia

Default Triple square, OH I HATE THOSE

you'll find them on the axlels too. They are a bitch to locate the correct socket for too. I had to borrow one of those to do the axles on my 944.

What is amusing is that porsche of princeton, thought that the correct socket was a 8mm hex. I called Pelican parts and they knew by heart that it was an 8mm triple square, just like on old VWs.

I used a 6 point 6MM, which seemed to fit in place of a 12 point 8MM.
